First day of 2010 must do something meaningful :D. I am so glad that have such a chance to learnt milk frothing technique from ST colleage (Ah Lim). He worked as a barista for Starbuck. Below is the the video clip that show us how to make a Hot Chocolate (by Lim). Important tips: 1) Control the steam to low level and put the tip above the milk level. 2) When you are frim with that level (by feeling and hearing the sound), immediately switch the steam level to max. 3) For beginner, can used two hand to hold the cup/mug and moving up and down so that the tip is dip into the milk surface and up to the surface. 4) Make sure the milk temperature is not exceed 70 C or 150 F. 5) Use Fresh Milk. (For begginer, it is better to use non Low Fat) because more easy to make the foam.
My master said after mastering this technique, then he can teach me Latte Art later :D
